Yummy Crock Pot Stroganoff!

I'm fixing this for supper one night this week -- sounds Yummy -- thanks Pinterest!

Crock Pot Stroganoff
2 pounds cubed stew meat 1 largish onion, diced
2 cans Condensed Golden Mushroom Soup 2-4 tablespoons Worcestershire
1/2 cup water 8 oz cream cheese
couple of dashes of Garlic Salt (1 tsp?)

In the slow cooker stir in all the ingredients, except the meat AND the Cream Cheese, together. Once combined add the meat and mix together.

Cook on Low for 8 hours. Cut up the cream cheese into cubes just before serving and turn crock pot on high. Stir the cream cheese in until all combined. You might have to put the lid back on and leave for 10 minutes.

Serve over egg noodles. Or mashed potatoes, I won't tell anyone but I would really like to not be alone in this.

Baby Shadow Boxes and Fall is finally here!

So happy for the temps to be coming down the last few days. Trunk-or-Treat at Church a few days ago was a lot of fun -- lots of super heroes, princesses, and even some hippies (who I think saved their own clothes from the 60's to wear!), and wrestler Macho Man himself showed! Great burgers and dogs too.

Tripp is here spending the night with us tonight. He hasn't been here since my birthday over the Summer and it sure is good having a 4 year old running around the house playing with his toy soldiers and Wonder Pets!

Today's date is always a mixed blessing -- it is my precious Mother-in-law's birthday and the anniversary of my dad's death. He's been gone 27 years now. Seems like a long time ago and just a few years ago all at that same time. Dad, you are still so missed and loved by so many.

Joe & I will be working at Clark Garden's Bootanical Event on Halloween -- public is invited for the price of $ or can goods (of which our church will benefit as we are one of the local food banks). I'm going to help at the admission gate and Joe is going to man one of the game booths. Last year, they had over 1400 people go through!

Spent time today making Katie & Jason's baby shadow boxes. I placed their going-home-from-the-hospital outfits, a wooden letter for their first name that includes their birthdate and their hospital photo -- I ADORE how they turned out. Now gotta find the perfect place to hang them!

Jason 4th Grade SB layout

Spent the afternoon working on SB layout for my son's scrapbook -- he's 26 now! I scanned Jason's original 4th Grade 'book' he made in school and used it to make a LO. While the pic quality is horrible (the teacher just made Xerox copies of the original) I used colored pencils to add some punch to the black and white images. School Bus cut using the Cricut Potpourri cart. Used Glossy Accents and Liquid Pearls to add some bling and Tim Holtz Distress Ink Wild Honey to around the edges to add more texture. Each 'page' captures Jason's handwriting and his thoughts about his school year-i love it!

Hanging SB pages for display

I've been looking for a way to display SB pages for a little while before they get placed in the books so I can enjoy them more - great find at Ikea - less than $10 - cuttable plastic bead chains and metal clips all hanging from a top metal rod - LOVE IT!

Katie and I shared a wonderful Disney World vacation with our great friends Kyle & Whitney! While the temps were extremely hot, it was so much fun to play all week! So I'm working on my layouts and have decided to divide the layouts according to parks - these first two cover Magic Kingdom and tell how much we enjoyed our trip. I used a 'blooming' photo layout technique in order to get more pics on each page. Love the glitter look courtesy of the Martha Stewart Glitter Markers - so easy to use. Can't wait to get the rest made.

Rudolph (the red nose reindeer that is!)

Finally got Tripp's Rudolph SB pages done! Joe and I took him to see the production back in December at Casa Manana in Fort Worth. We all had such a good time. No picture taking allowed during the performance, but I was able to find 'clip' images from the Rudolph TV show I remember -- all the same characters as the production! Thinking we've got a yearly tradition going now to see the holiday performances at Casa with Tripp (and maybe some more grandchildren someday!). I found a sweet little Santa and sleigh image, colored it with a few Copics and popped it up on dimensionals. Black waxed twine was used to weave through the silver chip board letters (Recollections) to mimic the other reindeer with Rudolph leading the way. Used my Cricut Celebrations cart to cut out the doily mat. Love how this turned out.

I'm really enjoying using my Copic markers -- it will definitely take me lots of practice to get the hang of these awesome tools. Not too crazy about the mouse grass or my work on skin tones, but it will get better -- I'm determined. Great digis from Angelique at http://sliekje.blogspot.com. Time is Flying - Easter Cards

Oh my goodness, it's been so long since I've posted. But I have been creative over the past few months. I'm getting into Copic markers and tried my hand at making Easter cards for family and friends. Obviously, still need lots of practice blending colors and staying in the correct lines - lol! I also love my Spellbinders Labels. I'm slowly building my collection and am ready to get more soon. I downloaded the Easter digi from Wax Fruit Company.com - love all their stuff! I've also completed several other SB pages for our Vacation 2003 album to the east coast - will post those projects soon. Thanks for looking.

New Technique

I'm really liking this masking / inking technique I saw on a Hero Arts video. I masked off a rectangular shape on the front of my card and used Tim Holtz Distress Inks (broken china and crushed olive) and the ink applicator to 'swirl' the sky and grass onto the card. I then used the same crushed olive ink and a clear stamp from Technique Tuesday to stamp flowers at the bottom of the card while still masked. The butterfly 2-step stamp is from Michaels - I stamped the main butterfly body with TH Worn Lipstick and then stamped the body outline with Colorbox Chalk Chestnut Roan. I will be using this technique a lot more as I love the effect it gives a plain card.

Birthday Card Tutorial

Ok - so this (my first tutorial) is composed of the below 6 posts (scroll down until you get to #1 and then move up). I know, I know - 6 posts!!! that's ridiculous!! This card really wasn't complicated to make - just a lot of steps when cutting, embossing, and stamping on the same project. I think this tutorial would have been better served in a video format. My biggest challenge was writing step-by-step instructions and wording things to make sense. Hopefully, it makes at least some sense.

Birthday Card Tutorial - Part 6

Place "happy birthday" stamp onto card exactly where you want it to be stamped. Use a little pressure to place clear block on stamp and the stamp will stick to the block. Stamp on ink pad and then directly onto card. Be careful not to 'rock' the clear block when stamping or your image will be uneven or even blurred (as mine shows).

NOTICE MY BLOOPER! I laughed so hard when I saw what I had done!!

Birthday Card Tutorial - Part 5

Tape ribbon ends to back of card just at the bottom edge of the embossed section. Use the Bow Easy and remaining satin ribbon to create a small bow (a great video tutorial for the Bow Easy can be found on Stamp TV). Affix stamped image and bow to front of card. I also affixed a plain white piece of cardstock (cut the same size as the card front) to the inside of the card to cover up the taped ribbon and give the card more of a finished look.

Birthday Card Tutorial - Part 4

Leaving cardstock inside die, turn over and emboss using the following sandwich plates (bottom to top) A plate, B plate, paper inside die - blade side up, Rubber mat, B plate, and 2 shim pieces in order to apply the appropriate pressure (I use 2 cereal boxes that I've cut to size). Roll through Cuttlebug to emboss. Remove card from die.

Using Tim Holtz Broken China Distressed Ink pad and sponge applicator, lightly sponge ink onto card edges from outside in using a very light circular motion. This will add dimension and highlight the embossed edges.

Affix stamped image on top of black frame mat.

Birthday Card Tutorial - Part 3

Layer the black cardstock and larger Nest die (blade side down) onto the Cuttlebug using the cutting sandwich plate (bottom to top)- A, B, cardstock, die, C. Roll through Cuttlebug to cut.

Use markers to color tree stamp - lightly spray with water after coloring in order to re-wet surface. Stamp onto white cardstock. Layer stamped image and smaller Nest die using the above sandwich. Cut. *

Birthday Card Tutorial - Part 2

Cut the 8 1/2 x 11 paper in half length wise (at 5 1/2") and fold in half. Use a bone folder to get a crisp, flat fold. Place the top half of the card (make sure you're using the bottom half below the fold as this is the front of your card) inside a Cuttlebug embossing folder - I used the Argyle folder. Make sure to line up embossing folder very straight and even with the top edge of the card (see pic). Emboss card - use the following plates to make the embossing sandwich from bottom to top - A plate, B plate, folder with card, B plate.

Our Baby Stitches

My entry for challenge Sketch 202 over at Sketch Inspiration -- lots of great ideas over there! Cat's Creations is supplying a huge assortment of goodies to the winner! I recently purchased some Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels Fourteen - and was able to practice and use them on this layout. To emphasize "Stitches", I used a Sharpie marker to make stitch lines on all the letters of his name.

Stitches is our precious Pomeranian - apparently, he was eating some berries from vines in our backyard (we live in a parsonage) that were apparently poisonous (I didn't realize we even had berries - shame on us for not checking when we moved in last April!). Anyway, after lab work, 2 nights in the doggie hospital and lots of antibiotics and fluids, he's back to his perky little self. We're not 100% sure it was the berries that made him sick, but we're not taking any chances - those vines are coming out! We were pretty worried for a while. Inspired me to get a page done for Stitches as he is an important little member of our family. Hope you like!

Congregation Gathering

I used my George and Basic Shapes cart along with the shadow feature. I really like the shape and look of the George letters. These will be attached to 4 different flip charts where we plan to begin discerning through prayer, our mission as a church for 2011.

Well, I actually completed Tripp's 2 Christmas pages for this year! I've been working on so many cards and other things lately that my SB layouts had taken a seat on the back burner. 2011 will be much better with lots more layouts to be created! While these two pages sum up our time with Tripp through December, I'm also making a very special one for his book about his Papa Joe & Gigi (me!) taking him to see Rudolph, the Red Nose Reindeer at Casa Manana in Fort Worth. We all loved it! Happy, happy new year to you all and I look forward to the blessings of creating and seeing what everyone else has made as well!

She's a College Graduate

Congratulations Katie! On Dec 17, Katie graduated from Texas State University. We are so very proud of her! What a great celebration we had at Logan's Roadhouse in New Braunfels- grandparents, uncle, brother, nephew, parents, and great friends. On Friday evening, Joe & I, Mimi, Jason, Tripp & Katie headed down to Gruene to have dinner at the Gristmill - YUMMY and so beautifully decorated for Christmas (if you're ever in that area, you absolutely must have a meal at the Gristmill!). Tripp got to visit with Santa in San Marcos and Katie & Jason bought their dad an early birthday present - a unicycle! He had one growing up and absolutely loved riding it -- it'll take a little practice but I think he'll be enjoying it again soon. Such a wonderful weekend!

It's A Small World Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our hop this weekend. A special thanks to Jessica over at Kinderstamp-O for hosting our hop! Our challenge was to create something representing places around the world or other cultures. Well, I think I probably took a different path than others. As I’ve been blessed to travel to so many places around this wonderful world of ours, I decided to create a banner featuring “Merry Christmas” in 10 different countries native language.

My Cricut and Joys of the Season cart were used to cut out the ornament shapes, trees and wreaths. I also cut out a ‘shadow’ of each to mat each ornament. Tim Holtz Distressed inks gave the mats and paper flowers (from Prima) a vintage look. Stickles, one of my favorite embellies, was used on each ornament. Another touch of ‘bling’, a snowflake metal charm attached to the bottom of each ornament. Lastly, a swatch of grosgrain and golden thin ribbon make it all come together to form the banner. This was such a fun project to make.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving - celebrated Thursday at Mom's, shopped Thursday night and Friday, got Christmas lights on house and started decorating inside, on Saturday went to dinner (yummy steak and ribs from the Mesquite Pit) and to the movies (saw Unstoppable - definitely heart pounding), worked on our Kinderstamp-O December tags, took a relaxing walk around the neighborhood and just had a great time hanging out with each other.

A Thanking We Will Go Blog Hop !!

So here’s my project for my first blog hop – “A Thanking We Will Go” hosted by Jess over at Kinderstamp-O.

When thinking about all I have to be thankful for, after my Lord, Jesus Christ, family and friends are always at the top of my list. I have a wonderful husband, awesome daughter and son, precious grandson, and an amazing mother! I am truly blessed!

Our family is especially blessed and thankful right now for our daughter Katie (aka Chick 2) who will be graduating from college on Dec 17th. I decided to make a little mosaic tribute board to show her how proud we are of her. She’s all about vintage so these colors are perfect. She has grown into a beautiful young woman with a servant’s heart for others. SURPRISE KATIE!

For the base of my project, I cut off the backing board sheet from a paper pack (great way to recycle) - then used Mod Podge to glue down each paper sheet and picture and then swiped a top coat of MP to give it that finished, almost leather-y look.

This project provided me lots of opportunities to practice Tim Holtz’ distressing techniques (which I love). Inked up my Argyle Cuttlebug folder and embossed various papers to add even more texture. Various ingredients include: chipboard shapes, s.e.i. embellishments, Prima flowers, Versamark stamp pad, clear embossing powder, distress inks, and Tim Holtz’ Tiny Attacher (love it).

This was a fairly easy project to complete – the challenge was picking coordinating papers and getting them cut to good sizes to fit the board. I could easily see picking out Christmas-y papers and making mosaics for family as gifts. Hope you like.

Challenge at More than Favors

So this challenge is all about colors - specifically blue and green (two of my favorites). These colors definitely make me think of nature! Our trip to Lake Tahoe was certainly full of blues and greens; from the mountains to the water. I love trying new ways to embellish my pages so for the title I used the Cricut George & Basics Shapes cart (set on 'charm') and some wire and silver beads. I really like how the beaded wire adds an extra element of texture to the page - even similar to ropes used to tie boats to the dock. The glitter adds a touch of sparkle representing water. Tearing / inking / and using scalloped scissors on the photos and background mats also adds an element of rustic. I use hidden journaling a lot on my pages so that the pics take front-and-center stage. This was a magnificent place to be.

Tim Holtz Grungeboard Workshop at Cat's

So this is the grungeboard I made at Cat's Creations (my favorite SB store). We used Ranger products and learned some really cool techniques! This is where I met my friend Jessica, aka Kinderstamp-O -- she is a really crafty lady and I look forward to getting to participate in all crafty blog activities. Tripp's First Halloween

So as I was creating Halloween pages for my own kids (who are way grown by now), I'm remembering the one I created of my grandson Tripp's first Halloween in 2007. He's still the cutest little pumpkin I've ever seen! Used my Cricut to cut the letters. I also used hidden journaling a lot in my layouts so I can get more on the page!!

So the question of the day is: How do you store your ribbon? Well my DH made a really neat storage rack (if you could call it a rack) out of a flat piece of wood trim where he then attached 5 dowel rods standing up onto the wood base. It holds anywhere from 50-70 ribbon spools depending on their size. I really like how i can just pull it next to the project I'm working on, pull out the desired length and cut, then just tape it back up. It's about time for him to make me an additional one as I'm starting to collect more spools in drawers!

Our wedding rings definitely tell a story as neither one of us are wearing our original rings -- they were lost at different times and places (mine were eventually found) -- such heartache at the time! While we each have beautiful rings now, the memories of those precious original rings that we worked so hard to pay for is bittersweet.

I used transparent embellished sheets to 'frame' the pictures and journaling (found at Michaels) and did a little embossing. Pink and maroon were the colors of our wedding.

I know I'm creating pages for my 'kids' way after they've grown (he's 25 and she's 27), but it's sure wonderful going through and sorting all the pics out and reliving precious times! I created a double-page layout for Jason's Halloween pics throughout the years. He absolutely loved getting decked out in crazy costumes and going trick-or-treating (I think he still does although now he's taking his 3-year-old son!). My SCAL software and Cricut came in really handy when cutting out the haunted house, ghost and gate pieces. My Martha Stewart punch added a kewl border edge and of course Stickles just make everything POP. I scrap-lifted the basics of this layout from Cat's Creations - and added a few of my own ideas to complete the pages. Jason will be here tomorrow and I think he will get a big kick out of the pages.

Been working on Halloween projects this week -- finished a couple of cards and have been working on Jason's Halloween pages for his scrapbook.

For the cards, I used my SCAL software to create the cute monster and my Bow-Easy arrived in the mail this week just in time to make a sweet little bow for my scared-y cat card. Love how the Martha Stewart punch set off the kitty card as well.

For Jason's Halloween page, again found cute images and used SCAL and my Cricut to cut them out. Stickles always adds the bling I'm looking for to my projects.

Lovin' the Distress Inks by Ranger -- yea Tim Holtz! Used the inks to try some reverse embossing with the butterflies (saw the technique by Gina K. on Stamp TV). Love the look. Also just recently bought a 'dandelion' stamp -- adore how it looks stamped and embossed over and over across the blue background. These techniques would really dress up a scrapbook page too!

It has been so long since I've posted. We've been on such a roller-coaster ride with my mom's cancer, radiation and chemo treatments. As of about a week ago, we've gotten biopsy results showing there are no more signs of cancer!!!! Praise God! Tripp celebrated his 3rd birthday (oh my goodness, I can't believe it!) I feel pretty settled in at the 'new' house, Joe is enjoying and working hard at our new church, and I'm looking for a job! Anywho, I have actually been working on some pages (some a lot longer than others), and found a video demonstration on how to make 'washer' necklaces. So, of course I rushed right out to buy the supplies to make some (very inexpensive I might add). I think they turned out really cute -- I've worn one and it really wasn't as heavy as I thought it might be. What do you think?

The pics are from a baby gift I recently made for the daughter of a good friend. I purchased the basic chipboard book at my new favorite scrapbook store, Cats Creations, in Mineral Wells, Texas (it's an AWESOME place). I then used the nursery theme of baby jungle animals and individually paper pieced each page. I think it turned out really cute but definitely was a lot of work and took a lot of time. I've got a new niece coming in August so I think I should get started on another one now in order to have it finished by then!! Hope you enjoy.

It's so hard to believe Easter is almost here! We're so hoping that Mom is up to traveling tomorrow so she and I can go to Ballinger for Easter. She has been so sick off-and-on because of cancer treatments and we're hoping for an 'on' next few days! We will miss being with Tripp for Easter egg hunting this year so I put together a little basket for him that Jason will give to him this weekend since we will be away. It's a basket complete with chocolate bunny cookie crisps, Thomas-the-Train (his favorite) short set, and Tonka's Chuck truck (from the "Cars") complete with a hand-cut Easter egg card I made with my SCAL and Cricut -- still loving this program. Smaller, intricut cuts are still a challenge to get to turn out just right -- paper tears in places -- but I'm still learning and hanging in there. I know it's not a typical Easter egg basket but I love to put in other treats as well. It will be so good to be home with Joe and be at church on such a very special Sunday -- to celebrate our risen Lord - Halleujah - Christ has risen indeed!

Alaska book complete

Yeah -- I've finally completed my Alaska Scrapbook! (well, except for my title page that is). We took a wonderful 2 week trip over this last Summer and it has been so much fun reliving all the good times. Used my SCAL again to create the title from varoius fonts I have on the computer - love the welding feature. Also, above the totem pole pic are some 'wingdings' already loaded onto the computer that I tweaked, again using SCAL. Absolutely love this program! I 'roughed' up the edges of as many of the papers as I could to add to the rustic feel of where we were. I'm always trying to put as much as I can on a page (probably too much sometimes) and am fond of creating 'hidden' journaling - notice my totem pole pic is a flap that lifts up to reveal a few more pics and journaling. Enjoy!

Mom is continuing to struggle throughout her cancer treatments -- so ironic and horrible that something that is supposed to be getting rid of all the bad 'stuff' also gets rid of a lot of the 'good' stuff you need! She continues on though. As of last Friday, she completed half of her 34 radiation treatments -- whoo hoo! Will receive another chemo 4 day dose beginning the Monday after Easter -- we're both dreading that for her.

Our last Sunday at our current churches will be on April 11 -- so very hard to leave those you've grown to love! We've always been warmly welcomed in our new church homes and believe this new experience will be no different. Lots to do between now and then.

Hello Approaching Spring

Wow -- it's been a long time since I've posted. A lot has happened in the last few months. My mom was diagnosed with cancer on February 1 and since then, she has had multiple procedures, tests, and treatments in order to start fighting this disease. The doctors are hopeful that by the time radiation and chemo are completed, she'll be cancer free - we look so forward to that day. I'm staying with mom and getting her to and from appointments and doing what I can to help take care of her. We've also found out that as of April 15, we will be moving to Mineral Wells. It will be (and always has been) hard to leave churches and people we've become so fond of. However, we're looking forward to the location change as we will be so much nearer family and friends; generally only an hour away at the most as compared to 3-4 hours. Packing and moving will definitely be a challenge with our situation as it is now, but I'm confident that all will work out as it needs to. While at mom's, I've been doing some scrapbooking (looks like I just packed up my craft room and moved it here). Wanted to share some pages I made for Katie's album. Enjoying looking back through old photos and reliving great times. I received the SCAL software from my wonderful hubby for Christmas and have been having so much fun using it to embellish cards and scrapbook pages. The "Full Circle" title was used using special fonts I downloaded and 'tweaked' using my SCAL. Love this program. I wrote in the varoius activities Katie was involved in (church, athletics, and school).

Mojo Monday Challenge - Week 116

Haven't entered the Mojo Monday challenge in a while so thought I'd give it a try -- I really like the pattern sketch for this challenge. As I've been up to my elbows in making Christmas cards (should have started these back in July!), thought I'd make one for the the Mojo Monday challenge too. We'll, the colors aren't typical Christmas colors and the design doesn't lend itself just to Christmas either -- could also be a 'thinking of you' or 'sympathy' card too I think. I used my Cricut Joys of the Season to cut out the wreaths, Cuttlebug Embossing folder Snowflakes, Color Box Chalk ink, various stamps and papers, glitter and satin ribbon. My photography still isn't that great, but I'm working on it. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Oh my goodness -- just look at these -- I think they're absolutely adorable. Got the patterns from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts (thanks Dawn) and tweaked the gingerbread one a little bit myself. All nestled inside the gingerbread packet is a package of hot cocoa. Inside the smaller snowflake packet are two hot-tea bags! Aren't they cute -- I just can't get over myself!!! I'll be showing these off at Curiosities here in Ballinger this weekend and showing all the gals who come to the card workshop during the next week how I made them. Love, love, love 'em!

I'm Still Here

Haven't blogged in a while, but have been doing / seeing some really wonderful things. Love, love, love, the change in the weather! Fall is my favorite season. Joe, Mom, Tripp, and I had a great time in San Marcos last month at Katie's sororiety Family Day -- Tripp's first visit to Aunt Katie's place. I've been picking pecans like crazy from our yard - front and back -- almost an obsession! Finally into Breaking Dawn, the fourth installment of the Twilight saga -- lovin' me some vampires! Looking forward to Thanksgiving with mom in Granbury, and a couple of Christmas Card Workshops. Christmas is just around the corner and it always sneaks up on me! Life is good!

Stamping on Ceramic Tiles

I actually was able to stamp on ceramic tiles, and was pleased with the results! The tiles measure 4 x 4 (the perfect size for coasters). I used Staz-On ink to stamp the image (be aware the surface of the tile may be slick so apply the stamp carefully) and then used markers on the flowers and used a sponge to apply a light blue color to the edges of the tile. On the leaf tile, I applied chalk with a blender pen to the leaves. I haven't done the last step yet -- which is probably the most important -- use a clear sealer (polyurethane) -- hold 6-8 inches above the tile and spray a light coat -- let dry completely and then apply 2-3 more coats letting the tiles dry between each layer. This will ensure that the tile is waterproof and smudge proof. I think I would like to make some sets (4) of these for our church festival which is coming up next month. Maybe even get some bigger (8 x 8) and make trivets or home decorations. I still have more time to practice!!!

Phi Lamb Time!!

A quick blog from Chick 2....so school has started and that means it's time again for Phi Lamb (my Christian sorority). I spent a few days with my "Big Sis" Tammy making some crafts for our upcoming RUSH (recruiting new Lambies). I've really enjoyed the time I have gotten to spend with her. Here are a few of the crafts we made to give away. The candle was made by stamping on tissue paper ( I tye-dyed the tissue paper) and then melting it into the candle! I found the backpack designs somewhere and I don't remember where. Those were a little challenging to create, but by the time I made the third one I was getting the hang of it. (The first one ended up in the trash.) Anyway, school is keeping me very busy this semester, but it's one semester closer to graduating!! I must be going now, but hopefully in the near future I will have some more crafts to post!! Until then..God bless!!!

Alaska was Fantastic

Joe and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 week Alaskan vacation! We flew up and met his parents who were already vacationing up there with their mobile home. We saw so many amazing and beautiful places -- took a couple of boat cruises (one to the village of Seldovia and one to the Portage Glacier). Enjoyed delicious Alaskan seafood, hung out in Homer (homebase of the Time Bandit from the Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch - one of my FAV shows), rode with a dog-sled team, toured Denali National Park and saw lots of wildlife, and enjoyed all the sights in-between. What a blessing this time has been!

We always have such a good time celebrating July 4. It usually starts out with enjoying the parade on the square in Granbury, Texas -- they really put on a great one. The heat this year though, was almost unbearable -- can you say "yes, I'll pay big money for water!"
